Green Frog Events started in late 2009 as Mad Mike’s Sound’s out at Oxford Canterbury.
In 2011, our founder Michael Early completed studies at the Music and Audio Institute of New Zealand (MAINZ) in Christchurch/Tai Poutini Polytech. He is experienced in event planning and management covering live sound to stage lighting.
In 2020 the company started to branch into weddings when Michael (and his now wife) were planning their wedding and realised how stressful and expensive it is, as this is a new branch of the business he has only really done the tech side of it but is slowly branching into the panning, decorating and transport side of it.
In 2021/22 Michael returned to the Music and Audio Institute of New Zealand (MAINZ) in Christchurch/Southern Institute of Technology and has completed A 2-year New Zealand Diploma in Audio Engineering and Production Level 6
Michael is also working on contracts at various event production and event technology companies for events in the Canterbury area.
The company’s name changed to Green Frog Events on February 1, 2016, so that it could work in all areas of the events industry.
One of our biggest focuses is around the community; by that, we do discount services to certain community groups, societies, charities, and churches to give back to the community.
